Have you ever been pulled in by a post or video title, only to be led on through page after page of stuff before they finally answered the damned question that caught your attention in the first place?
I know I have and I am willing to bet it happens to you all the time too.
This post isn’t like that. So the short answer is that Affiliate Marketing is a REAL OPPORTUNITY and NOT a SCAM.
There you go.
Now if you are still interested you can read a little more – though this still isn’t going to be one of those mega-long posts.
Lets start with what affiliate marketing is basically.
This is how Wikipedia defines it;
Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts.

To explain it a little more – when you talk about a product in your blog, or in a video on YouTube or elsewhere, post anything anywhere else online and someone clicks on your link you can earn a commission or fee.
Sometimes it comes from a completed purchase, other times some other action such as signing up for a free membership, etc.
The fees can be one time – or they may be an ongoing fee to you, which is common for memberships and other things where the referral will be paying on an ongoing basis. Do some simple math and you begin to get an idea of how powerful something like ongoing affiliate commissions can become even if the amounts per referral are relatively small.
Imagine that you have hundreds, or even thousands – and are currently adding new referrals each and every month.
Now imagine that some of these fees are more than tiny amounts – and that instead of a few cents to a few bucks that you earn $20.00 to $30.00 or more each and you get paid on an ongoing basis. Not too bad, even if you can get just a few new referrals every month – but what if you could get hundreds – maybe even thousands?
The potential is massive.
Keep in mind there are also plenty of opportunities for one-time fees too.
Let’s say you make a video about how to build a table. In the description below the video, you put your Amazon affiliate links for the tools you used in the video. Anyone who clicks your links and buys the tools will earn you a small fee for each one. Even better still – even if they don’t buy tools and instead by a camera, or underwear or something else – even though you never mentioned those things you still get paid!
Why? Because your link is what brought them there and that earn you money.
Most Companies Large and Even Small Have Affiliate Programs!
Affiliate programs represent bigtime business sales and massive amounts of revenue.
All smart companies already know this and they are actively taking advantage of affiliate marketing programs to help drive more sales as part of their overall marketing strategies. Even the dummies are beginning to learn – and by that, I mean companies who had zero interest in affiliate marketing until recently.
That means opportunities for you to find products to market are abundant and only getting better every day.
This is the time to get into this game NOW!
The Opportunity is Legit and the Potential Payoffs are Huge – But…
Here comes the downside. It ain’t easy or simple. Sorry.
Is anything ever really simple or easy?
If you find it please let me know! Everything I have ever found that actually works is hard as hell and requires real hard WORK. this is no different.
There is a learning curve. A lot of information that you have to take in, digest and start acting on it on a consistent basis. Day after day. Week after week, and it will likely take several weeks to several months before much starts to happen. So be careful when you encounter programs, systems and gurus who tell you how easy it is and how fast you can make millions from your basement sofa in your mom’s house in your underwear with little to no effort.
Nope. It doesn’t work like that my friend.
There are real training systems that do work. There are real communities of like-minded people who can help you as you learn and build your business. You just have to know where to look, and then find the one that works best for you.
