Most people looking to start a business are working a job of some kind – or in desperate need of a job – to be able to cover their living expenses while they build their business part-time.
Trucking can help you do that.
If you need money NOW and you need benefits NOW – even in an economy that has been devasted in large part lately – trucking is still in need of tens of thousands of truck drivers.
That means an opportunity fr you – for you want it and if you are willing to work for it.
However, there are some requirements if you want the rewards too.
One of the biggest is that you will have to be willing to work hard and you will put in many hours into trucking each and every day. You will also more likely than not be gone on overnight tips o a routine basis – sometimes gone for a week or more at a time.
Yes, there are ways around that – and there are even jobs you can get that will get you home daily – or at least every other day. But they involve tight maneuvering and heavy physical work loading and unloading freight by hand in addition to the hours on the road driving between stops.
If you can handle it though – the money can be good. How good? How about $60 to $80 thousand per year to start good?
Even a mediocre driver can make $52,000 their first year – but if you are highly motivated (and NOT lazy!) you can do far better than that and make up to (and possibly even more) than $80k your very first year in trucking.
But… and This is a Big BUTT…
Like I said earlier you have to be willing to work very hard and work smart too if you want that kind of money.
Otherwise, you will be one of the tens of thousands who make far less than that.
